Studies on borders and border security have recently become more important with the increasing number of civil wars and intensified migration movements. In this case, it is a clear fact that border security efforts require inter-state coordination. However, in some cases, the nature of inter-state relations does not allow for cooperation, and it can be observed that border violations against the problematic country are supported.<\/p>\n

When it comes to border security, only land borders usually come to mind. However, it should not be forgotten that states also have air, sea and even subsoil borders. Therefore, studies on border security should not only focus on land borders, but also on sea and air borders, especially considering the recent irregular migration movements.<\/p>\n
